As a Speech Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our qualified Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) in delivering high-quality care to a diverse client base, including children and adults. This is a hands-on position where you will assist with therapy sessions, prepare resources, observe and document client progress, and engage directly with clients under the guidance of an experienced SLT. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) during therapy sessions for both children and adults.
- Prepare and organise therapy materials, resources, and equipment for individual and group sessions.
- Implement therapy programmes as directed by an SLT, including practicing exercises and activities with clients.
- Observe and accurately document client progress, behaviour, and responses during therapy sessions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging therapy environment.
- Support clients and their families, providing encouragement and information as appropriate.
- Undertake general administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing records, and preparing reports.
- Liaise effectively with SLTs, other healthcare professionals, and administrative staff.
- Participate actively in supervision sessions and professional development opportunities provided.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and professional standards, including safeguarding and confidentiality.
