Key Responsibilities
- Edit, proofread, and fact-check a wide range of content including articles, reports, website copy, newsletters, and social media posts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and accuracy.
- Ensure all content adheres to Career.zycto's established style guide, brand voice, and editorial policies.
- Collaborate closely with writers, content creators, and subject matter experts to refine content, provide constructive feedback, and improve overall quality.
- Optimize content for search engines (SEO) where appropriate, incorporating keywords naturally and ensuring readability.
- Manage editorial workflow, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely delivery of content projects.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of our editorial strategy, style guides, and best practices.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging best practices in media and publishing.
- Maintain a consistent and engaging tone across all platforms and content formats.
- Review and approve final layouts before publication, ensuring visual and textual elements align seamlessly.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proven experience in an editorial role within media, publishing, or a related field (minimum 3 years).
- Strong understanding of editorial processes, style guides (e.g., AP, Chicago, in-house), and content management systems (CMS).
- Outstanding attention to detail and a meticulous approach to editing and proofreading.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
