Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a talented and highly motivated Freelance Photographer specializing in Events & Commercial projects to join our network of creative professionals in Priory, St. Ann, and surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity for a visual artist with a keen eye for detail and a knack for storytelling through imagery. As a freelance photographer connected through Career.zycto, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life, capturing the essence of various events – from corporate gatherings and product launches to social celebrations and community festivals.
Your primary role will involve executing photographic assignments with precision, creativity, and professionalism. We are looking for someone who can not only operate high-end photographic equipment but also possess a strong understanding of lighting, composition, and post-production techniques. You will be expected to work independently, manage your schedule effectively, and consistently deliver high-quality, edited images that exceed client expectations within agreed-upon deadlines. This role requires flexibility, as event schedules can vary, often including evenings and weekends.
For commercial projects, you will be tasked with creating compelling visual content for marketing campaigns, product photography, corporate headshots, and brand storytelling. This means collaborating closely with clients or their marketing teams to understand their brand identity and objectives, translating those into impactful visual narratives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, communicative, and possess a robust portfolio showcasing their versatility in both dynamic event photography and meticulously crafted commercial work.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute high-quality photographic coverage for various events (corporate, social, community, etc.) and commercial assignments.
- Consult with clients or project managers to understand specific photographic requirements and desired outcomes.
- Manage all aspects of photography, including equipment setup, lighting, staging, and subject direction.
- Capture candid moments and posed shots, ensuring a comprehensive visual record of the assignment.
- Perform professional post-production editing, retouching, and color correction to deliver polished, high-resolution images.
- Manage digital assets, including proper storage, organization, and timely delivery of final images.
- Maintain and care for personal photographic equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverable schedules consistently.
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Provide basic technical support or guidance related to image usage if required by clients.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in operating professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Strong understanding of photographic principles, including composition, lighting, and exposure.
- Proficiency in professional photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetic quality.
- Reliable transportation for on-site assignments in Priory, St. Ann, and surrounding areas.
- Business acumen suitable for freelance operations (e.g., invoicing, client management).
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with studio lighting setups and product photography.
