Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Live-In Support Worker to provide comprehensive, person-centred care and support to individuals within their own homes in Twickenham, London. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care, including assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Administer medication accurately and according to prescribed schedules.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and manage dietary requirements.
  • Assist with light household duties, shopping, and managing appointments.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities and hobbies.
  • Support clients to access community resources and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and daily records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Promote the client's independence, dignity, and choice at all times.
  • Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns appropriately.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in caregiving or support work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
  • Reliable, punctual, and highly organised.
  • Basic IT literacy for record-keeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience with specific client groups (e.g., dementia, physical disabilities).
  • Full UK driving license (desirable but not essential for all placements).
  • Manual handling training.
