Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ecological field surveys, habitat assessments, and species identification.
- Perform ecological impact assessments (EIA) and prepare technical reports and environmental statements.
- Develop and implement mitigation, compensation, and enhancement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with national and international environmental legislation and planning policies.
- Analyze and interpret ecological data using GIS and statistical software.
- Provide expert ecological advice to clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and landscape architects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for ecological deliverables.
- Contribute to proposals, tenders, and business development initiatives.
- Participate in public consultations and stakeholder engagement activities.
Required Skills
- Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an ecological consultancy or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of European and German environmental legislation (e.g., BNatSchG, FFH-Richtlinie).
- Proven experience in ecological field survey techniques and data collection.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) for mapping and analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
