Key Responsibilities
- Administer medication safely and accurately as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor service users for adverse reactions or side effects to medication and report any concerns promptly.
- Assist service users with personal care and daily living activities as required.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with service users, their families, and the wider healthcare team.
- Adhere strictly to all medication policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations (e.g., CQC).
- Participate actively in all mandatory training and continuous professional development programs.
- Report any concerns regarding service user health or medication to the appropriate supervisor or medical professional.
- Ensure the safekeeping, proper storage, and appropriate disposal of all medications.
- Uphold the dignity, privacy, and independence of all service users at all times.
