Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for various construction projects.
- Manage and administer contracts, including FIDIC and VOB, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.
- Conduct thorough valuation of works, prepare payment certificates, and manage variations.
- Negotiate and settle final accounts with contractors and subcontractors.
- Perform risk and value management and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide expert advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
- Participate in project reviews, contributing commercial insights and strategies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within industrial or commercial construction.
- Demonstrable expertise in cost planning, contract administration, and project financial control.
- Strong understanding of construction law and various contract forms (e.g., FIDIC, VOB).
- Proficiency in relevant software for cost management and project scheduling.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster strong working relationships.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional accreditation such as MRICS or equivalent.
- Proficiency in German (written and spoken) is a significant advantage.
