Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for various construction projects.
  • Manage and administer contracts, including FIDIC and VOB, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.
  • Conduct thorough valuation of works, prepare payment certificates, and manage variations.
  • Negotiate and settle final accounts with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Perform risk and value management and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
  • Participate in project reviews, contributing commercial insights and strategies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within industrial or commercial construction.
  • Demonstrable expertise in cost planning, contract administration, and project financial control.
  • Strong understanding of construction law and various contract forms (e.g., FIDIC, VOB).
  • Proficiency in relevant software for cost management and project scheduling.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster strong working relationships.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional accreditation such as MRICS or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in German (written and spoken) is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with airport infrastructure or large-scale logistical development projects.
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
