Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive commissioning procedures for new and upgraded systems, machinery, and production lines.
  • Conduct thorough functional tests, performance verification, and operational readiness checks.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues during commissioning phases.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, design engineers, installation teams, and clients to ensure smooth project handover.
  • Develop and maintain detailed commissioning reports, documentation, and operational manuals.
  • Provide technical training and support to client operational staff post-commissioning.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Participate in design reviews to provide commissioning input and improve system manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Optimize system performance and efficiency through meticulous adjustments and calibrations.
  • Travel to client sites as required for commissioning activities (primarily within the region).

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commissioning industrial automation systems, machinery, or complex technical installations.
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell, Beckhoff) and industrial control systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and German.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, HMI development, and industrial networking (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 62061).
  • Project management certification or experience.
  • Knowledge of specific industry standards (e.g., automotive, food & beverage, chemical).
