Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive commissioning procedures for new and upgraded systems, machinery, and production lines.
- Conduct thorough functional tests, performance verification, and operational readiness checks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues during commissioning phases.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, design engineers, installation teams, and clients to ensure smooth project handover.
- Develop and maintain detailed commissioning reports, documentation, and operational manuals.
- Provide technical training and support to client operational staff post-commissioning.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, industry standards, and quality control protocols.
- Participate in design reviews to provide commissioning input and improve system manufacturability and serviceability.
- Optimize system performance and efficiency through meticulous adjustments and calibrations.
- Travel to client sites as required for commissioning activities (primarily within the region).
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commissioning industrial automation systems, machinery, or complex technical installations.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell, Beckhoff) and industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and German.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with SCADA systems, HMI development, and industrial networking (e.g., Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
- Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 62061).
- Project management certification or experience.
- Knowledge of specific industry standards (e.g., automotive, food & beverage, chemical).
