Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our thriving team in Innenstadt, Bochum. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage proactive and preventative maintenance programs for all critical machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure efficient scheduling of maintenance activities.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, procure necessary components, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, recommending upgrades and modifications to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards during maintenance operations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with PLC programming and automation systems.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations (e.g., VDE, DGUV).
  • Prior experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography).
