Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and passionate Freelance Photographer specializing in Events and Commercial assignments to join our talent network for immediate project placements in Junction, St. Elizabeth, and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their photographic needs, vision, and project objectives.
- Plan and execute on-site photography sessions for various events (weddings, corporate functions, community gatherings) and commercial projects (product photography, brand campaigns, portraits).
- Utilize professional camera equipment, lenses, and lighting techniques to capture high-quality, impactful images.
- Perform extensive post-production editing, including colour correction, retouching, and cropping, using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
- Ensure all deliverables meet client specifications and brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent aesthetic.
- Manage digital assets, including file organization, backup, and timely delivery of final images.
- Maintain and care for photographic equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and event coordinators.
- Proactively seek out and propose creative solutions to enhance visual storytelling.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver work within agreed-upon deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless camera systems and various lenses.
- Expertise in photographic composition, lighting, and exposure techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for photo editing and retouching.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of event and commercial photography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven reliability and time management skills.
- Transportation and ability to travel to various on-site locations in St. Elizabeth.
- Experience with studio lighting setups for commercial shoots.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Knowledge of drone photography for aerial perspectives.
- Previous experience working with diverse clients in Jamaica.
- Ability to provide basic graphic design support for visual content.
- Business acumen for pricing, invoicing, and client management as a freelancer.
