Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, and feeding.
- Administer medication safely and accurately, maintaining detailed records.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in collaboration with service users and families.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior care workers, providing guidance and support.
- Monitor and report changes in service users' health or behaviour to relevant professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
- Adhere to all health and safety, safeguarding, and care sector regulations.
- Promote independence and dignity, supporting service users to participate in daily activities.
- Act as a key worker for designated service users, coordinating their care and support.
- Engage with families and external healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care delivery.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Care Worker or Senior Care Assistant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in administering medication.
- In-depth knowledge of care standards and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
