Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, reporting any significant changes or concerns to nursing staff promptly.
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for all patients.
- Assist with patient transfers and repositioning using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a comforting and reassuring atmosphere.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and vital information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and the entire healthcare team.
- Respond to patient call bells and requests for assistance promptly and respectfully.
- Adhere strictly to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Support Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals in various tasks, contributing to overall patient care coordination and efficiency.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on active listening and empathy.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively as a collaborative team member.
- Strong empathy, patience, and a compassionate attitude towards individuals under care.
