Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company-provided vehicles for the delivery and pickup of goods across Hope Bay, Portland, and surrounding areas.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, considering traffic, road conditions, and delivery schedules.
- Load and unload merchandise carefully, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or defects promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and expense reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Adhere to all local and national traffic laws and regulations, as well as company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing Career.zycto professionally.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other tasks as needed to support logistics operations.
Required Skills
- Valid General Driver's License (Jamaica Class C or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
- Strong knowledge of Hope Bay, Portland, and surrounding geographical areas.
- Ability to operate and maintain company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
