Key Responsibilities

  • Safely administer prescribed medications to service users in accordance with care plans and company policies.
  • Accurately maintain medication records, including dosage, time, and any observed effects or reactions.
  • Monitor service users for any side effects or adverse reactions to medication and report concerns immediately to senior staff.
  • Assist service users with organising and managing their medication, ensuring correct storage and accessibility.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, their families, and healthcare professionals regarding medication schedules and changes.
  • Observe and report on the overall well-being and condition of service users, noting any changes in physical or mental state.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and CQC/Care Inspectorate standards.
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities.
  • Provide compassionate and person-centred care, promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
