Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly talented and passionate UX/UI Designer to join our vibrant product team in Wavertree, Liverpool. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives on crafting intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing digital experiences across both web and mobile applications. As a key member of our design team, you will be instrumental in defining the user experience from concept to launch, ensuring our platforms are not only beautiful but also incredibly functional and user-centric.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant and simple design solutions. Your role will involve conducting user research, creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. You’ll also be responsible for developing high-fidelity prototypes and polished UI designs, ensuring brand consistency and adherence to best practices in accessibility and usability.
We’re looking for someone who possesses a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of UX and UI projects, demonstrating proficiency in interaction design, visual design, and information architecture. A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies is crucial. You should be adept at using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar, and comfortable working within agile development cycles.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Design and deliver exceptional UI for web and mobile applications, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers throughout the design process.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analytics, and technological constraints.
- Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and component libraries.
- Present and articulate design solutions to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in UX/UI design.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellent UX/UI design skills for both web and mobile.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Experience with user research, persona creation, user journey mapping, and usability testing.
- Ability to create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with animation/motion graphics for UI.
- Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better understand technical constraints.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and analytics tools.
- Experience designing for diverse audiences and international markets.
