Key Responsibilities
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in implementing therapy programs for individuals of all ages.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials, equipment, and treatment areas before and after sessions.
- Directly assist clients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing exercises as instructed by the SLP.
- Observe and document client performance and behavior during therapy sessions, reporting relevant information to the supervising SLP.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.
- Provide clerical support, such as scheduling appointments, managing client files, and tracking inventory.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Encourage and motivate clients to participate actively in therapy activities.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Adhere strictly to all privacy regulations (e.g., PHIPA in Ontario) and company policies.
