Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and diligent Motorman to join our expanding team in Lindenhof, Mannheim. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of moving parts.
- Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and troubleshoot complex engine issues using various diagnostic tools.
- Execute repairs and overhauls of engine components, pumps, valves, and piping systems.
- Monitor engine performance parameters and record data accurately in logbooks and maintenance reports.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental protection standards.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
- Assist in the procurement of necessary materials and equipment for maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with senior technical staff and engineers on complex repairs and system upgrades.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, taking corrective actions as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Motorman or similar mechanical role, preferably in industrial or maritime settings.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, power generation systems, and auxiliary machinery.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Competency in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
