Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors in all designated areas.
- Empty and clean trash receptacles and recycling bins, ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms thoroughly, restocking supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
- Wipe down and disinfect surfaces, including desks, countertops, doorknobs, light switches, and common area furniture.
- Dust furniture, fixtures, window sills, and other surfaces regularly.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to the facility manager.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are properly stored, maintained, and restocked as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Assist with minor repairs or installations as needed, within the scope of basic janitorial duties.
- Secure the premises at the end of the shift, ensuring all doors and windows are locked and lights are off.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, pull, and carry moderately heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 months of proven experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role.
