Job Description
This role calls for a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Officer to oversee and manage all aspects of occupational health and safety within a bustling industrial estate environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive Health & Safety policies and procedures tailored to an industrial estate environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with H&S regulations.
- Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Organize and deliver H&S training programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns for employees, contractors, and visitors across the estate.
- Maintain accurate records of all H&S activities, including incidents, inspections, training, and emergency drills.
- Advise management and tenants on H&S best practices, legal requirements, and emerging trends in industrial safety.
- Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with emergency services and facilitate emergency response plans and drills.
- Prepare and submit detailed H&S reports to management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Oversee waste management, hazardous material handling, and environmental compliance within the estate.
- Foster a proactive safety culture through continuous engagement and communication.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices (local and international).
- Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional H&S certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, CSP, or equivalent.
- Experience working specifically within an industrial estate, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- First Aid and Fire Warden certification.
