Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior staff in coordinating daily care activities and patient flow.
  • Provide direct, person-centred care to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
  • Support and mentor junior Healthcare Assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Monitor patient conditions and accurately report observations to registered nurses.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control policies.
  • Participate in care planning and documentation, maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Act as a point of contact for patient and family inquiries, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Assist with training and induction of new HCA staff.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organised healthcare environment.
