Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions accurately for experiments and analyses.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate standard laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and incubators.
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests and experiments under the guidance of senior scientists.
  • Record and organize experimental data meticulously, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of experimental apparatus.
  • Perform general laboratory upkeep, including cleaning glassware, sterilizing equipment, and managing waste disposal according to safety protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, flagging needs for replenishment.
  • Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, quality control standards, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report major issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members on ongoing research projects.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety procedures and GLP.
  • Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, solution preparation, sterile technique).
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data entry and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous laboratory experience (academic or internship) is a plus.
