Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior cooks and chefs with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, kitchen area, and storage facilities, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support in the plating and garnishing of dishes under the guidance of lead cooks.
- Manage inventory by receiving, checking, and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as mixers, slicers, and ovens, after proper training.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans throughout shifts.
- Help with the disposal of waste and recycling, ensuring proper sorting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Actively participate in team meetings and training sessions to foster continuous learning and improvement.
