Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated residential areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion, vandalism, and other security breaches.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems, responding promptly and appropriately to alerts.
- Conduct regular inspections of property perimeters, entry points, and common areas.
- Control access to premises, ensuring only authorized individuals are granted entry.
- Maintain detailed daily logs and incident reports, documenting all activities, observations, and irregularities.
- Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security threats according to established protocols.
- Liaise effectively with clients, local law enforcement, and emergency services when required.
- Provide a visible and reassuring security presence, while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure the safety of residents and property.
- Perform routine checks of security equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security, preferably in a residential or private security setting.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and protocols.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous, but not always required depending on site).
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Security Guard Training Certificate (SGT) or equivalent.
- Previous experience with alarm systems and CCTV monitoring.
- Background in military or law enforcement.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of local Molepolole area and community dynamics.
