Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial audits and reviews in accordance with established auditing standards and internal policies.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and relevant legal frameworks (e.g., IFRS, GAAP, FCA regulations).
- Prepare detailed audit reports, findings, and recommendations, presenting them clearly and concisely to management and stakeholders.
- Investigate financial discrepancies, irregularities, and potential fraud, providing expert analysis and actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with various departments to implement audit recommendations and monitor their effectiveness over time.
- Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices to ensure continuous compliance and relevance.
- Assist in the development and refinement of audit programs and methodologies.
- Provide guidance and support on compliance-related matters to internal teams.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in financial auditing, internal controls, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of auditing principles (e.g., ISA, GAAS) and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial analysis, risk assessment, and data interpretation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Competency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA, or equivalent.
