Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of all incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records using the company’s inventory management system.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and perform reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions for maximum efficiency and accessibility.
  • Ensure all goods are stored safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified), safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring correct items and quantities are picked and packed.
  • Report damaged goods, stock shortages, or any inventory anomalies to management promptly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehousing and inventory processes.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory management role.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications (MS Office).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Understanding of basic health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid forklift operator license (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).

  • Certification in warehousing or logistics.
  • First aid certification.
