Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily freight movements, including route optimization and carrier selection.
  • Schedule deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouses, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Negotiate freight rates and contracts with logistics providers to secure optimal terms.
  • Monitor and track shipments, proactively resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
  • Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs declarations and bills of lading.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce logistical costs.
  • Generate reports on logistics performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all logistics operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a logistics, supply chain, or transportation role.
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding, shipping procedures, and international trade regulations.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
