Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions (accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries).
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Process payroll, manage expense reports, and track employee reimbursements.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and accessible digital financial records and documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Adhere to company financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeping Assistant or similar financial role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
