Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the full UI/UX design lifecycle, from initial research to final implementation, under guidance.
- Conduct basic user research and analysis to understand user needs, behaviours, and motivations.
- Assist in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop interactive prototypes for testing and internal review.
- Contribute to the creation of appealing visual designs, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and user-centric principles.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to translate requirements into intuitive and engaging designs.
- Learn to conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iteratively improve design solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices through provided training and self-study.
- Present design concepts and rationale to team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills
- A foundational understanding of design principles (e.g., composition, typography, color theory).
- Basic familiarity with design software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar (even if self-taught).
- Strong passion for user-centered design and an eagerness to learn.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate on designs.
- A portfolio demonstrating personal projects or academic work showcasing design potential (can be conceptual).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Prior exposure to agile development methodologies.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation for UI elements.
- Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS) is a plus, but not required.
