Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Transcriptionists to join our growing team. As a Transcriptionist with Career.zycto, you will play a crucial role in converting various audio and video recordings into accurate, well-formatted text documents. The ability to discern various accents, handle challenging audio quality, and research unfamiliar terminology will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe audio and video files into text format, adhering strictly to client-specific style guides and formatting requirements.
  • Review and edit own transcriptions for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and completeness, ensuring a high level of accuracy and readability.
  • Meet established deadlines for transcription projects, managing time effectively to handle multiple assignments.
  • Identify and tag speakers within recordings and note any inaudible sections or unclear dialogue.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security protocols for all sensitive client information and project content.
  • Utilize transcription software and tools efficiently to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers regarding project status, challenges, or clarification needs.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional listening skills with a keen ear for detail and nuance.
  • Superior command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Proficiency in fast and accurate typing (minimum 60 WPM).
  • Familiarity with common transcription software and tools (e.g., Express Scribe, Audacity).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines independently.
  • Ability to concentrate for extended periods and maintain focus on audio content.
  • High level of discretion and understanding of confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of professional transcription experience, particularly in academic, legal, or medical fields.
  • Experience with various audio qualities and different English accents/dialects.
  • Basic proficiency in German to understand context or proper nouns where relevant.
  • Certification or training in transcription services.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools.
