Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Shop Attendant & Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team in Westlands, Nairobi. Beyond direct customer interaction, your responsibilities will extend to maintaining the impeccable appearance and functionality of our sales floor. This includes diligently organizing and merchandising products, ensuring they are well-stocked, correctly priced, and presented in an attractive and accessible manner. You will also be responsible for accurate inventory checks, assisting with stock replenishment, and contributing to the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the store. Furthermore, you will proficiently handle sales transactions using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system, process returns and exchanges efficiently, and resolve customer inquiries or concerns with patience, empathy, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and engage customers, providing exceptional and personalized service.
- Actively listen to customer needs and preferences, then skillfully recommend appropriate products.
- Accurately process sales transactions using the POS system, handling cash and card payments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, display areas, and changing rooms.
- Assist with merchandising, product placement, stock replenishment, and inventory management.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, returns, and exchanges professionally and efficiently.
- Achieve individual and contribute to team sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Stay informed about new products, promotions, store policies, and industry trends.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, assisting colleagues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security procedures within the store.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably 1+ years.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic math proficiency and the ability to accurately handle cash transactions.
- Strong customer-focused approach and effective problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and team-oriented personality.
- Fluency in English and Swahili (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a college diploma or certificate in retail management is a plus.
