Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our growing team in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions for our diverse client portfolio. As a Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with development, operations, and security teams, transforming complex business requirements into robust cloud architectures.
Your expertise will span across various cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of cloud infrastructure, from initial conceptualization and proof-of-concept to deployment, monitoring, and continuous optimization. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources through robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, cost optimization, and adherence to SLAs.
- Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, compliance standards, and data protection measures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and strategic planning for evolving cloud solutions and service offerings.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong expertise with at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and database concepts in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Relevant professional cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate, Google Professional Cloud Engineer).
- Experience with microservices architectures and serverless computing paradigms.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Knowledge of German language (B2 level or higher) is a plus.
