Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a talented and driven Back End Developer to join our growing team in Söflingen, Ulm. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and databases that power our innovative web and mobile applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality solutions. Our technology stack is modern and dynamic, primarily leveraging Python with Django/Flask, alongside PostgreSQL and Redis, all hosted on AWS. We operate in an agile environment, valuing collaboration, code quality, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure APIs and microservices using Python (Django/Flask).
- Implement and optimize database schemas (PostgreSQL) and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality across the team.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to define and integrate system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions and preventative measures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python and extensive experience with web frameworks like Django or Flask.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
- Experience with RESTful API design, development, and integration.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).
