Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate stock records using inventory management systems.
  • Perform regular stock counts, reconciliations, and investigations into discrepancies.
  • Coordinate the receiving, storage, and dispatch of products, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking and stock-outs, initiating replenishment orders as needed.
  • Prepare and verify dispatch documentation, including packing lists and shipping labels.
  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g., warehousing, sales, logistics) and external suppliers/carriers.
  • Implement and adhere to health, safety, and quality standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Identify and report any damaged, defective, or missing items.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for inventory control processes and warehouse efficiency.
  • Generate stock reports and provide analytical insights to management.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar inventory management role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical fitness to handle and move stock as required.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Forklift license (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck).
