Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Foreman with a strong focus on labour management and safety to join our expanding team in Kingswood, Bristol. As Site Foreman, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily site operations, coordinating skilled trades, and ensuring all work adheres to project specifications, budget, and timeline. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise daily on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Effectively coordinate and direct all site labour, including subcontractors and tradespeople, to optimise productivity and meet project deadlines.
  • Implement and enforce stringent health and safety protocols, conducting regular safety briefings, inspections, and risk assessments to maintain a zero-incident culture.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and proactively implement corrective actions.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on site status and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of equipment, materials, and resources on site.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all site personnel are aware of daily tasks, safety procedures, and relevant updates.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, attendance sheets, safety reports, and progress documentation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Site Foreman or similar leadership role in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrable expertise in labour management, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant building regulations.
  • Exceptional knowledge and practical application of health and safety legislation (e.g., CDM Regulations, OSHA).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • NVQ Level 3 or higher in Construction Site Supervision or a related field.
  • Experience with project management software or digital site management tools.
