As a Childcare Assistant, you will work closely with experienced early years practitioners, assisting with daily activities, supervising children, and engaging them in educational play. You will learn best practices in child development, health and safety, and effective communication with both children and parents. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of engaging daily activities, ensuring they are age-appropriate and promote learning through play.
  • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, changing, and toileting, always maintaining dignity and hygiene standards.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued, secure, and encouraged to explore and express themselves.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe play environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Observe and record children's progress, behaviours, and developmental milestones, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with parents/guardians, providing updates on their child's day and addressing any queries.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive team approach, contributing ideas and supporting overall nursery operations.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities provided by Career.zycto to enhance your skills and knowledge.
