Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team in Waterford, Portmore. This professional role is critical to ensuring the efficient flow of goods from our warehouse to our valued customers, playing a pivotal part in our supply chain success. You will be responsible for orchestrating the entire lifecycle of product movement, from inventory management and warehouse optimization to dispatch and delivery coordination. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will act as the central communication point for warehouse staff, delivery teams, suppliers, and customers. Your day-to-day will involve meticulously planning delivery routes, tracking shipments in real-time, resolving logistical challenges as they arise, and maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily dispatch schedules and delivery routes for optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and track shipments from departure to arrival, providing real-time updates and resolving any transit issues.
- Manage warehouse inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper storage, and timely replenishment.
- Collaborate closely with warehouse teams to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and staging of goods.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal departments regarding delivery status, delays, and service inquiries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, invoices, and logistics reports.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistical operations and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Assist in the reconciliation of inventory discrepancies and coordinate returns or damaged goods processes.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to manage orders, track inventory, and generate reports.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with route optimization software.
- Knowledge of local transportation regulations in Jamaica.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CPL, CSCP).
- Familiarity with cross-docking operations and last-mile delivery challenges.
