Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Lead to join our vibrant team in Holgate, York. As a Personal Support Lead, you will be instrumental in coordinating and delivering high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring our clients receive the best possible support to live independently and fulfil their potential. You will oversee a team of support workers, providing guidance, training, and supervision, ensuring adherence to care plans and organisational policies. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of personal support workers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular client assessments to ensure evolving needs are met and care plans are adapted accordingly.
  • Ensure all care delivery adheres to CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice guidelines.
  • Manage staff rotas and allocate duties efficiently to ensure adequate coverage and consistent support.
  • Provide direct personal care and support when necessary, acting as a role model for the team.
  • Facilitate effective communication channels between clients, families, support workers, and management.
  • Handle client and staff queries, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis to provide out-of-hours support and guidance.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a care or support setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Strong understanding of person-centred care principles and CQC regulations.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and IT systems relevant to care management.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services or equivalent.
  • Experience with complex care needs and challenging behaviours.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience in training and development of care staff.
