Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of catering events, including moving tables, chairs, staging, and other equipment efficiently and safely.
- Transport food, beverages, and catering equipment between the kitchen, storage areas, and event venues.
- Ensure all catering equipment, including trolleys, chafing dishes, crockery, cutlery, and glassware, are cleaned, polished, and stored correctly after use.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all catering storage areas, including fridges, freezers, and dry stores.
- Support kitchen and service staff during events by replenishing buffets, clearing plates, and assisting with general service duties as required.
- Report any damaged or faulty equipment to the Catering Manager promptly to ensure timely repairs or replacements.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock rotation and proper organisation.
