Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Windows System Administrator to join our client’s dynamic IT team in the Audi Headquarters Area, Ingolstadt. In this pivotal full-time role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of our client’s extensive Windows server infrastructure and associated services. As a Windows System Administrator, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of Windows servers, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will play a crucial role in managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services, ensuring seamless operations for end-users. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of virtualization technologies, particularly VMware, and experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) and related infrastructure components.
  • Manage and optimize Active Directory services, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
  • Monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and implement proactive measures to prevent outages.
  • Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Implement and enforce security policies and best practices across the Windows environment.
  • Manage and configure virtualized environments using VMware vSphere.
  • Provide technical support and resolution for complex server-related issues.
  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell scripting to improve efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows Server OS (2016, 2019, 2022)
  • Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, especially VMware vSphere
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls)
  • Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting complex server issues
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell) for automation
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, VMware Certified Professional)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and practices
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix)
