Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and professional Driver to join our logistics and delivery team in Riversdale, St. Catherine. As a Driver, you will be the face of our company on the roads, responsible for the timely and secure transportation of goods within St. Catherine and surrounding areas, utilizing a company-provided vehicle. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company-provided vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to various locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, adhering to assigned routes and schedules.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status or potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and transportation regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Handle delivery documentation and payment processing where applicable.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and in good operational condition.
Required Skills
- Valid Jamaican General Driver's License (Class C or equivalent for commercial vehicles).
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3-5 years.
- Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably in logistics or delivery.
- Excellent knowledge of local routes and road networks in St. Catherine and surrounding parishes.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure efficient route completion.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of professionalism and customer service orientation.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- Defensive Driving certification.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route optimization software.
- Previous experience operating a variety of commercial vehicles (e.g., vans, small trucks).
