Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support to individuals, adhering strictly to care plans.
  • Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in managing their medication safely and effectively.
  • Facilitate engagement in social, recreational, and educational activities within the community.
  • Promote independence and develop essential life skills, empowering service users to achieve their goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided and any significant observations.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and professional guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with service users, their families, and team members.
  • Respond to emergencies and challenging situations calmly and effectively, following established protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid certification.
  • Manual handling training.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable for community access).
