Key Responsibilities
- Harvesting various types of fruits by hand or with specific tools, following established quality and quantity guidelines.
- Carefully inspecting produce for ripeness, damage, or disease before picking.
- Sorting and packing harvested fruits into appropriate containers, ensuring minimal bruising or spoilage.
- Transporting filled containers from the field to collection points.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, both in the fields and in shared accommodation.
- Adhering strictly to all farm safety protocols and food hygiene standards.
- Collaborating effectively with team members to meet daily harvesting targets.
- Reporting any issues with crop health, equipment, or safety concerns to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and reaching, for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
