Job Description

Career.zycto is proud to partner with a renowned hotel in the vibrant St Werburghs area of Bristol to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Hotel Porter. This pivotal role is at the forefront of guest experience, ensuring a warm welcome and providing invaluable support from the moment visitors arrive until their departure. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the initial point of contact for many guests, setting the tone for their entire stay with your professionalism and helpfulness. Your primary responsibilities will include efficiently handling guest luggage, escorting guests to their rooms, and providing useful information about hotel facilities and local attractions. This position demands excellent physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and an unwavering commitment to outstanding customer service. You will be an integral part of a dedicated team, working collaboratively to maintain the hotel’s high standards of service and operational efficiency. Beyond luggage assistance, you will also be responsible for various guest requests, such as delivering newspapers, assisting with transportation needs, and ensuring common areas are presentable. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet all guests upon arrival and departure, offering immediate assistance.
  • Safely and efficiently handle, transport, and store guest luggage to and from rooms, ensuring care and accuracy.
  • Escort guests to their rooms, providing an orientation to the room's features and hotel amenities.
  • Assist guests with general inquiries, providing information about hotel services, local attractions, and transportation.
  • Deliver newspapers, mail, messages, and other items to guest rooms promptly.
  • Summon taxis or other transportation for guests as requested.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel lobby, entrance, and other public areas.
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and security policies and procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with professionalism and escalate when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A valid UK driving license (for potential occasional valet or driving duties).
