Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols of mall and office premises to deter and detect security threats.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems for suspicious activity and promptly report any anomalies.
- Control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas and verifying credentials.
- Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergency situations, and calls for assistance, including medical incidents and fire alarms.
- Detain individuals suspected of theft or criminal activity following company protocol and legal guidelines, and assist law enforcement as required.
- Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff, offering assistance and information as needed.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational regulations.
- Liaise effectively with local law enforcement, emergency services, and site management as required during incidents.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts and maintain a visible deterrent presence to minimize criminal activity.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding license is mandatory.
- Proven experience in security operations, ideally in a commercial, retail, or corporate setting.
- Excellent observational and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities for reporting and public interaction.
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective under pressure during challenging situations.
- Proficiency in using CCTV systems and basic security equipment.
- Physical fitness to perform regular patrols, stand for extended periods, and respond to incidents.
- Basic first aid knowledge (or willingness to obtain certification promptly).
- A professional, courteous, and approachable demeanor.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in mall security or large multi-tenant commercial premises.
- Current First Aid at Work certification.
- CCTV Public Space Surveillance (PSS) license.
