Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company van for local deliveries and pickups within Tecumseh, Windsor, and neighboring areas.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures.
- Load and unload goods accurately and efficiently, ensuring items are secured to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify contents of shipments against shipping documents before and after each delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and mileage documentation.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally and courteously with clients.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding delivery status or any unforeseen issues.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned company vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid G-Class driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs consistently.
