Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate counterbalance and reach forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse/storage facility.
- Conduct daily safety checks and routine maintenance on forklifts, reporting any defects or malfunctions immediately.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock rotation, counting, and record-keeping.
- Prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring they are accurately picked and securely packed.
- Strictly adhere to all company health, safety, and operational procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all materials are stored in designated areas, adhering to safety and space optimization protocols.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Forklift Driver with counterbalance and/or reach truck operation.
- Valid and recognized Forklift Operator license/certification (e.g., ITSSAR, RTITB).
- Strong understanding and commitment to warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and record-keeping.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for understanding instructions and completing paperwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or order pickers.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Previous experience working in a multi-cultural environment or a visa-sponsored role.
- First Aid certification is a plus.
