Job Description

Leribe Lodge is seeking a dedicated and reliable Laundry Team Member to join our dynamic hospitality team in Ha Molapo, Leribe. In this essential role, you will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for ensuring all hotel linens, towels, guest laundry, and staff uniforms are processed efficiently, hygienically, and to the exceptionally high standards of quality that our guests have come to expect from Leribe Lodge. This position demands a keen eye for detail, the ability to work swiftly and effectively under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining a pristine and organized laundry environment.
You will be tasked with operating various industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, performing routine checks and light maintenance to ensure their optimal functioning. Your daily duties will involve the meticulous sorting of items by fabric type and color, effective stain treatment, precise washing and drying cycles, and expert folding and pressing to presentation standards. Managing laundry supplies, maintaining accurate inventory records, and collaborating closely with housekeeping and front desk departments to ensure a seamless flow of operations and timely delivery of items will also be key aspects of your role.

Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry items by color, fabric, and washing requirements.
- Operate and maintain commercial washing, drying, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform stain removal techniques on various fabrics.
- Fold, press, and organize cleaned linen, towels, and uniforms according to lodge standards.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages.
- Ensure all laundry areas are kept clean, tidy, and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate laundry needs and delivery schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on laundry machinery and report any malfunctions.
- Handle guest laundry services with care and discretion.
