Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop, and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications safely and accurately, adhering to NMC guidelines and care home policies.
- Monitor residents' health conditions, document observations, and report changes to the medical team.
- Provide wound care, continence management, and other clinical interventions as required.
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, ensuring high standards of care delivery.
- Liaise effectively with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, both paper-based and electronic.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including CQC requirements.
- Promote a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
Required Skills
- Registered Nurse (Adult) qualification with valid NMC registration or eligibility for registration.
- Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience, preferably in a care home or elderly care setting.
- Excellent clinical skills, including medication administration and wound care.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (IELTS/OET requirements may apply for visa purposes).
- Right to work in the UK or eligibility for Tier 2 (Skilled Worker) Visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic care planning systems.
- Advanced first aid and basic life support certification.
- Leadership or supervisory experience within a healthcare setting.
