Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Monitor and record vital signs, fluid intake, and output, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring residents receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities, promoting social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and care plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant, minimum of 1 year.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Understanding of health and safety guidelines and infection control.
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping.
