Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples and reagents for experiments according to established protocols.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses under the guidance of senior scientists.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Record, organize, and maintain accurate experimental data and observations in lab notebooks and digital systems.
- Assist in the development and optimization of new experimental procedures.
- Conduct literature reviews to support research projects and stay updated on scientific advancements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Dispose of chemical and biological waste properly and safely.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, assisting with various tasks as needed to advance research goals.
Required Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Fundamental understanding of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, preparing solutions, using balances).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks and recording data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
